A long, LONG time ago… in a far off land *lol!! (KIDDING!), I was very good friends with a girl who made me laugh like no other person I have ever known or know to this day. Crazy sense of humour and very obscure, …warped (?…lol!) vision of most everyday things. The Far Side X 10!! We were close for many years, then I moved to Toronto and we lost touch. Before we knew it 10 years had gone by without any contact. Then, one day I get a message on Facebook from this dear friend!! I feel SO fortunate to be back in touch with her and doubly so because she asked me to photograph her Wedding this past November. What an honour!! She married an amazing guy and I am very happy for them both.

Ohhhh the memories!! 2 young women with the world on a string…..we had so much fun in the ‘good old days’…..but ‘real life’ got a hold of us and we drifted apart as we found our footings in life. BUT…..life goes on…..and here we are back together again!! As Gloria Naylor said…. “Sometimes being a friend means mastering the art of timing. There is a time for silence. A time to let go and allow people to hurl themselves into their own destiny. And a time to prepare to pick up the pieces when it’s all over.” And now we’re there…..and although we’re at vastly different points in our lives, we know now that we’ll always be friends ‘again’ from this moment on. Thank you, Sherry, for being a special part of our wedding day….and so eloquently capturing the ‘specialness’ of our dream day. We couldn’t have found a more appropriate and talented photographer.
